LEGO BIONICLE X NIKE SHOES CONCEPT
For this project, I upcycled a pair of Nike Fontana Edges, drawing inspiration from their mech-like structure. I wanted to enhance their futuristic silhouette by integrating modular LEGO BIONICLE pieces, maintaining both form and function. To bring the concept to life, I styled and directed a film photoshoot, shot by Andrew Dao, emphasizing the hybrid of fashion and engineered design.

PROCESS WORK:
The process began with deconstructing the Nike Fontana Edges and reworking them into lace-up ballet-style sneakers. I experimented with different lacing systems and styles. I then dyed them black using a dip-dye method and hand-painted chrome accents. To emphasize the mech-inspired form, I attached LEGO BIONICLE pieces to the back half of the shoes and incorporated fragments of old circuit boards.
